Tammy has had a busy weekend and I’ll let her post on her blog about her activities – hate to spoil the fun she’ll have in sharing what she did.

Since she couldn’t join us earlier in the day for Mother’s Day festivities, she and Steve came by late this afternoon to give me their cards and gifts and share a beer with us.  Nothing says Happy Mother’s Day with your kids more than having a beer together – not even Hallmark can top that!

Tammy knows how much I enjoy handmade gifts so I just had to include a photo of her latest creation.  IMG_0150Even though she’s long past the age of bringing home gifts she made in art class, I still get a thrill of knowing she created something just for me.  Especially since she has talents that I’ll never pursue – I’m not saying I couldn’t make this.  But let’s just say I don’t have the desire, patience or talent to even try.  I’ll stick to knitting which is something Tammy has not yet tackled.

This is one item that I’ll enjoy every day and when I want to remember her kindergarten drawings, I’ll just pull out her memory box and look back through all the “proud mom” moments I’ve saved throughout her life.

  1. Wow, that’s gorgeous! What a lovely Mother’s Day gift.

  2. I’m glad you like it. I was pretty pleased with the results and glad I could give it to you. I’ll be posting a blog entry about my experience tomorrow. Today I have to go to work! You can find all my pics on Facebook in the meantime.

  3. Beautiful… you have such a talented daughter… first jewelry and now glass blowing! Isn’t it nice to have a friend/dtr who is an artist? One of my best friends is an artist and is in school for masters in art; I am one of the lucky ones who gets some of her pottery pieces each semester!

Love the pic of Burl with the Redneck Limo, too, that is hilarious!
