I’ve found my remodeling niche. Give me something to tear up and I’m all over it. Observe – butt ugly wall tile which Burl calls “beige”. 
He has also been known to call it “off white” but he also thinks eggshell, bisque, almond and ivory are the same color. Men!
Anyway, Burl gave me an in-service with a pry bar and a mallet and I was off and running. Within an hour I’d filled 2 milk cartons with tile and the appearance of the wall was vastly improved! 
I left for Rotary and racquetball and he stayed behind to install the tub faucet, do some other plumbing chores while the water was turned off, and remove part of the wall so he can put up new drywall.
Tonight I opened our new steamer that we ordered after Burl saw it demonstrated on DIY and I attacked the wallpaper with a vengeance! This little yellow puppy is pretty darned powerful and I’m sure will pay for itself many times before I get all the awful wallpaper stripped from this house – plus it will steam clean our grill. Who knew the grill even needed to be cleaned – but this baby can handle the job! 
I just finished cleaning up the bathroom for the nth time today and here’s a shot of the wall sans tile and wallpaper. I still have to remove the paper over the vanity but can do that easily tomorrow.
I ordered the counter top today and am coming down the home stretch on floor tile and paint colors. Burl thinks we’ll be ready to paint the walls by Monday so I’m actually starting to see a light at the end of this tunnel.
