The sink has been ordered! Whew – another bathroom decision made so check an item off the list.

In all fairness to local businesses, I really did try to buy it here. I did my research and went to the local supplier where we bought the shower/tub combo. They gave me a quote but with tax and shipping, they were $50 over the Internet price. So – I asked if they would compromise – meet me halfway.
They wouldn’t. I explained that I like to do business in my own community but I am also working in a budget. I figured it was worth a try – Ralph got a local lighting dealer in Des Moines to meet an Internet price for some light fixtures. I gave it my best shot.
I had hoped to finalize the counter top today but got a couple of leads on new places to look and off I went! Naturally each place I look gets my head spinning in forty new directions with a myriad of ideas but I have my samples displayed in the bathroom tonight and should be able to finalize my choice, the price and the vendor in the morning.
We thought we had found a steal of a deal on a granite piece but turns out it’s a bit short, in addition to an exorbitant install fee, so looks like that decision has been made for me. I’m fine with that.
Tomorrow I’ll help Burl for a bit in the morning – then I get the rest of the day off for Rotary, racquetball and the Seder Meal at church.
In return, he gets to play golf on Friday. Such a deal!
