When I left my pesky day job last year, I started recycling with a vengeance! Anything and everything that previously went into the trash container was scrutinized for its ability to be recycled.
I set up boxes in the laundry room and have made weekly trips to the local recycling center. I figured I go within a block of it several times a week so why pay extra in our monthly trash bill for this service.
Burl was reluctant at first but now has gotten on the bandwagon and does a decent job of adding to my trash stash each week.
However – he now complains that we’re getting ripped off with our monthly trash bill of $11 because they pick up less than 2 bags of stuff each week. I’ve tried to reason that we still get the service and the rate is not based on volume but he just doesn’t get it. It’s unfair, we’re getting ripped off, they are making oodles of money off of us – blah, blah, blah!
Men and their logic – or lack thereof – just one more reason why women don’t listen to them a good deal of the time!
