Welcome to Town, President Obama   Leave a comment

When it comes to politics, I’m a moderate.  Fiscally I’m conservative and I have some liberal views about social issues where the issue is those who are truly less fortunate but I won’t go into how I qualify those individuals.

But politically I stay with the centrist views.  Not too far to the left….not too far to the right……in the middle!

For that reason, Cal Thomas has always been one of my favorite columnists.  He is an admitted conservative but he’s also realistic enough to recognize the only way politics effectively works is for both sides to come together on issues.  His column today is called “Welcome to town, President Obama!”

Thomas doesn’t slam either party – instead he advocates for change that can work for us all – everyone in this great country of the United States of America – and for our neighbors all over the world.

I want our new president to succeed – not because of how I voted – not because of my beliefs politically – but because I am a proud American who wants our country to be strong.

I pray for your success, Mr. President.
