Wanna know what happens when you go to bed at 3:20 and get up at 7:00? I’ll tell you – you start to crash at 10:00 p.m.! So why am I posting to my blog instead of going to bed? Excellent question. I’m glad you asked.
Blogging helps me relax and slow down before I go to bed!
We’ve had a full and rich day starting with Rotary at noon. It was our annual Family Day so I took my crew of 5 with me and we heard a great program from Rockumentallywhich is a group of Branson entertainers who sing and dance while imparting messages to kids through their innovative lyrics.
Their high level of energy got me revved up for an afternoon of racquetball with Stacey who assured me she hadn’t played the game for years while she whooped my ass in 3 straight games. I was just glad the games were close and she really had to work for those big “W’s” she got!
If you’ve been reading my posts for the last few weeks you may be wondering why I’m even in this game since I have yet to win one – I’m really not masochistic, I just enjoy playing and figure one of these days I’ll get lucky and actually score a big “W” of my own.
Next on our agenda was a trip to the nail salon where I got a deluxe manicure and Stacey opted for toes and nails both. It was a great way to unwind and relax before the rest of the local family descended on us for dinner. Burl cooked up a huge batch of his famous chili and after dinner we all went to Tammy and Steve’s where they gave Stacey, et al the home tour and we had dessert.
I’m feeling tired and full and I’m betting I last 5 minutes tops with a good book before my eyes are shut for the night – especially since it just started pouring down rain and rain on the skylight is always sleep-inducing.
Sweet dreams.
