Well my family managed to get a permit from the fire department to light the candles on my birthday cake – and daughter Cindy caught me in the act of trying to inhale sufficient air with which to extinguish them!
Fortunately, Bella was sitting next to me for assistance – she’ll be 3 in a couple of weeks and is already practicing for her big day.
I think it’s appropriate that the camera also recorded the dregs of the Bud Light Lime I had with my birthday dinner – along with Bella’s sippy cup. Don’t even ask how many candles there are – Bella got a bit carried away with candle placement. All I can say is, I’m 36 and dyslexic this year – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
For the record, Burl prepared the birthday dinner which I chose from his “vast” repertoire of menu choices. We had pot roast with onions, potatoes and carrots along with corn muffins. Cindy made the Tiramisu cake which was quite yummy – she tried to leave it with us and since I knew I’d just eat it, I convinced her to take it home. Best of all, there was enough roast and goodies left for another meal. He was a sweetie to cook for me since it was also our anniversary.
Here’s to many more Birthiversaries!
HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY!!! You look fabulous for a 36 y/o!
AND you’re working hard to keep in great shape too, for which I’m sure your body and heart are thanking you!! Keep it up, and enjoy your trip next week!
