A couple of weeks ago I attended a women’s event that Tammy was also attending. A photographer was taking “girlfriend” photos so we figured, why not?
The results are down here and I must say I think we look pretty damned good! As Tammy said, the black and white sure took away the wrinkles although I really don’t think she’s old enough to even spell “wrinkles” much less have them. Plus she’s smart and doesn’t fry her skin in the sun all summer long like I do. That same evening I had a skin analysis done by one of the vendors and overall my skin scored better than others in my age group about 75% of the time but that really didn’t make me feel that great. In college a 75% would only be a low C and I hate to score that low – I want an A! However the chances of me ponying up the big bucks to have laser treatment on my skin are pretty nil. I earned every wrinkle I have and I’m proud of ‘em! And Tammy contributed her fair share of them too.
Yesterday I polished off (pun intended!) my summer turquoise toes and applied my new fall favorite, OPI’s “Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not”. I’ve already had several compliments on the color and while my toes aren’t the greatest I just had to show off this spiffy new color. Too bad I’m running out of sandal season. I knew this color put me in the “Fashion Icon” league when friend Robin was wearing it Tuesday night and then I learned Tammy also has this color. I’m obviously in good company.
Last evening I was wearing sandals and I asked Burl how he liked the new color – which I knew he hadn’t noticed. He proved why he won my heart so quickly with his easy reply – “Honey I don’t look at your feet, I look at YOU.” What a guy – gotta love this man.
Great photo of you both! Love the toe polish color! I’m getting that!
You and Tammy look more like sisters than mother and daughter. Beautiful picture!!!
