Bailout Blah-Blah-Blah   Leave a comment

Well the House caved in and passed the pork-filled Bailout Bill which has Nancy Pelosi singing its praises and George W promising to sign it.  Apparently several members of the House lost the balls to oppose the bill which now features $6 million to manufacture wooden arrow for kids (why can’t they cut off a tree branch and carve their own?), $192 million for rum producers in Puerto Rico and the USVI plus a wealth of other goodies used to entice these spineless legislators to “save the country.”  Too bad it’s election season or some of them might have actually voted their conscience and not a way they think will garner more votes.

Give.Me.A.Break!  If Congress would quit passing mandates without funding and fiddling with our free enterprise system, these banks and others (i.e. State of California) wouldn’t have to run to Mommy for help when they get in a jam.  They’d suck up some personal responsibility and the Wall Street CEOs might not run to the trenches taking millions of unearned $ with them.  Why not get them to pony up their “earnings” to assist in the bailout.

Wanna bet that in 5 years or less we’ll be right back where we are today – or worse?

Favorite bumper sticker of the day:  “I have my freedom, my gun and my money – you can keep your CHANGE!”    AMEN.
