It’s Sunday night – that time when previously I had to reset my mental state to the pesky day job but this evening I’m just reflecting on a lazy and enjoyable day. Not that we sat on our buns all day – we just didn’t do anything too productive! We went to church, Mulligan and I took a walk, I talked with both of my girls, we rode our bikes to Strafford and back and then met Becky and Clarence for beer and pizza. In between Burl kept a close eye on the Ryder cup and was thrilled to see the U.S. take home a victory after a 6-year drought.
Tomorrow I’m playing golf – yes, you heard correctly. I…am…playing…golf! I’ve signed up for a charity event in another week so tomorrow 3 of the 4 on our team are getting together at our club to play a scramble. Fortunately Burl is playing in his golf league at Fremont Hills so he won’t be on our home course where he can see how lousy I play. But I’m betting I have a heck of a lot more fun than he does. I’d like to get to where I can enjoy the game enough to occasionally play with him but that will depend on a combination of my ability to improve my playing and his ability to keep quiet (and that includes sighing and rolling his eyes!).
Time to work on #3 of my list – one of my very favorite things to do.
