Look closely at this photo. What do you see? On the left is a red apple picked from the tree in the yard of friends Ron and Barb and behind it is a gallon freezer bag full of sliced apples that I just put in the freezer. Think hot homemade apple pie with a slice of cheddar cheese.
Now on the right is another kind of Apple – except for when it masquerades as a LEMON which is what this particular iPhone is doing!
Another day, another LONG support call to my new best friend Robert of the Apple tech support team. Trust me, reading a good book on a rainy afternoon was the plan and would have been much more fun. Today Robert’s favorite phrases were “let’s try one more thing” (I think he said that about 30 times) followed by “that’s an AT&T problem.” Since Apple and AT&T are partners (obviously not married) perhaps they need to have a little discussion among themselves!
I finally suggested that maybe, just maybe, this phone needs to be replaced. At that point in time I learned that when AT&T told me that Apple would send a replacement phone beforeI sent mine back, they were fibbing. However, we’re heading to Des Moines tomorrow and in addition to having the two cutest little girls in all the world, DM also has a genuine Apple store.
So – I now have an appointment with the Apple concierge at 10:15 Friday morning to replace the phone. Geez – an appointment? With a concierge? I’m torn between being impressed and gagging but for now I’ll hold my response until I have an iPhone in hand that will actually send and receive email all the time. Not just when it’s inconvenient, not just when it’s been restored, or had all the settings changed by my support guy but ALL…THE…TIME!
Where’s a crackberry when you need it?
GREAT picture of the three apples!
Sorry to hear you’ve had so much trouble – my hubby has not had near that trouble with his, only suffers from multiple dropped calls daily. But he has lamented more than a few times that he really does not like the phone. Maybe he’ll get more used to it. I just bite my tongue and don’t remind him that I thought he should keep his Crackberry. I still love mine, and won’t be getting an i phone anytime soon.
Enjoyed the synopsis of the Women of Substance evening out! Keep on posting about those!
Ok, commented once and it is not on here… so forgive me if I end up with 2 comments! First, love the pic of the three Apples — clever! Sorry to hear you’re having so much trouble with your iPhone; hope you get a new one and it does better. Good luck with the concierge!
Second, loved the synopsis of W.O.S’s monthly dinner out – you gals and your dinner conversations! I bet it would be funny to be sitting near you! That’s a lot of catching up in a short amount of time!
Have a great and safe trip this weekend.
