Thin, Rich, Beautiful or Brilliant?   2 comments

When we were in Phoenix earlier this summer I scored a great buy on this fabulous new handbag at Sigrid Olsen.  The store was closing and they practically paid me to take it off their hands – I had no choice but to buy it.  The color is “plum” and I decided to wait until later in the summer to use it but I also made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t carry it until I reached a certain goal at Weight Watchers.  I’m happy to report that after 7 weeks I have met that goal so today the purse came out of the closet (not THAT closet!) and I can now officially carry it.

Since I know you’re dying to see the interior, here’s another shot!  The leather is like buttah and the lining very silky – plus there are tabs that latch from each end to the middle to pull it in from the ends and make it look less bulky.

Just less than half a pound until I’m back at my WW goal weight which means another 3-5 pounds until I’m at my personal goal weight.  Somehow this journey hasn’t been too tough but I attribute that to the fact that I’m using the WW on-line tools and keeping strict track of what goes into my big mouth.  The real work is going to be keeping my weight where I want it to be which is much easier said than done.

I’m thinking in my next life if I get a choice I’ll come back as eternally thin and rich instead of beautiful and brilliant – NOT!

  1. Congratulations! I think I found all your lost weight. It’s waiting here for you to come and get it!

Enjoy your purse. Purple is the hot hue for fall so you’ll be right in style carrying it.

  2. Thanks for the offer but I think that’s the weight you lost last year and I found it and put it on. Let’s think of someone outside the family who needs it and you can give it to them – like one of those anorexic Chinese gymnasts!

Glad you like the purse – I’m now in pursuit of a really cool (and inexpensive) black clutch since I hear the clutch is the hot style for fall according to Allure. Of course I never dress up so not sure why I’ll ever need it!
