Welcome to daughter Cindy and her new blog that debuted today – it’s called “Life In My Shoes” and you can link from this post. I hope she finds blogging as much fun as I do. Cindy was part of the extended family I received when I married Burl. She’s the mother of 4 of our grand kids – she is married, works part-time for her husband, runs her home, is loving, giving, talented, and rarely takes time for herself. Her true calling is being a mom and planning great parties!
I’ve had another tough day – I think it’s Wednesday but unless I look at the calendar, it’s hard to tell. Guess it must be since I biked my bod to the gym for Group Strength class and it only meets on Wednesdays. I can’t say it was any easier than last week but hey, I survived! Ran a few errands on my bike and then came home to spend a few hours of friend therapy floating in the pool with girlfriend Willa.
Even though Martha Stewart doesn’t live here (but Tim the Tool Man does), I have just made a batch of healthy chicken salad for dinner (ran it through the WW Recipe Builder – 6 points even with chopped pecans!) and cleaned out a few more kitchen cabinets. At this rate I figure I will clean every nook and cranny of this house by late 2010 but what’s the rush.
My retirement gift from Cox arrived today – I received a gift catalog with lots of options and settled on a Canon digital camera. The one that is “supposed” to be mine rarely gets out of Burl’s hot little hands so now I have my own. Didn’t need any of the jewelry, power tools, vases, dishes, flatware or sporting goods in the selection so the camera was a good option. Now I just need to read the instruction book, set up a Flickr account and soon I’ll be putting pictures of my knitting on Ravelry!
