Well an American institution has now been sold to foreigners. It’s not that it personally affects me right now but it’s the principle of the whole thing – that our entire country seems to be for sale to the highest bidder and those who are bidding don’t happen to be Americans. I’m just glad we toured the A-B brewery in St. Louis a few weeks ago when it was world headquarters instead of now being the North American headquarters.
And what about those beautiful Clydesdales I see daily? How do you think they feel? Probably doesn’t matter to them – they’ll still be cared for, petted, fed, trotted out in awesome ads. But ordering a Michelob Light or Bud Light Lime just won’t have the same appeal for me any more – especially when I know the profits are heading into Belgian coffers and not ours.
Anyone for a Boulevard Wheat – with a slice of lemon?
