Day #1 of Life 2.0 did not disappoint in the least. For some reason I had set my alarm but when it went off, I was wide awake and rarin’ to go and I realized I had slept better than I had in a long time. I had my coffee on the deck while I [...]
D-Day Leave a comment
64 years ago today, Allied Forces crossed the English Channel and stormed the beaches of Normandy in a gruesome battle that was one of the defining moments of World War II. Today I stormed through the doors of CoxHealth in one of the most defining moments of my life – Life 2.0 has begun on my [...]

Celebrating Steve 1 comment
Tonight we had a belated birthday dinner for son-in-law Steve. His actual birthday was May 30th but their schedule and ours didn’t mesh until today. Steve is a phenomenal young man with a thirst for knowledge and a wealth of information about a wide variety of topics – everything from science fiction to gourmet cooking [...]
Summer Nights Leave a comment
The last few days have morphed into summer and with the pool now uncovered, I’m feeling summerish. Friday evening we played couples golf at our club and fortunately did NOT finish DFL (that’s dead f’ing last!) no thanks on my part but hey, I never said I could golf, just that I had clubs. But [...]
