Reflections from the rear of a motorcycle while traveling across the country:
- Signs of Springfield are everywhere – BNSF trains, Prime trucks and “Pro Bass” hats and stores
- It’s hard to avoid bad grammar – example “Lawn’s Services (xxx).xxx-xxxx” – I’m trying to figure out if someone named “Lawn” owns a group of services or if this person is generally confused with plurals and apostrophes – and what’s with the phone number? If you put the area code in parentheses, there’s no need for anything after it – and please stick to either periods or dashes in a phone number – no need for both!
- I know we have a diverse country – but let’s make English the official language. If you want to live here, learn the language and use it.
- The price of a hotel is not in direct correlation to the quality of the rooms or breakfast served.
- Even after paying $5.99 per gallon for gas, I’m still shocked/angered by $3.69 a gallon in Springburg.
- Living where we do, it’s easy to forget how many people in this country are homeless.
- Motorcycles seem to have increased on the highways – not sure if it’s due to higher gas prices or the lure of the open road but they sure seem more plentiful.
- “It’s dry heat” doesn’t really make a damned bit of difference when it’s 115 – it’s still HOT.
- My grandkids really are the cutest.
- Eating out almost every meal for 2+ weeks makes me WANT to cook.
- I love traveling but no matter where I go, it’s always good to get home.
