It’s time for Hillary to give it up – whether she likes the outcome or not, she has not garnered the votes to be the Dems nominee for President. But I’m guessing she’s politicking behind the scenes for either a spot on the ticket or someone to help bail out the alleged $30 million in debt her campaign has racked up. With Billary out of the way (hopefully) now we only have to listen to 2 candidates instead of 3 for the next 5 months. Yikes! Makes me glad I’m going to be traveling for the next few weeks and hopefully can avoid political news.
The bell has rung for the final lap of my run at CoxHealth and I’m guessing tomorrow will be the last day I really devote anything close to a full day of work – Friday there is a luncheon for me with all my office-mates followed by a retirement reception and when that is done, I hope to have my office cleared out so Amanda can start moving in – and I’ll be out the door! Today’s activities consisted mostly of finishing cleaning out my desk, credenza and filing cabinets. I brought home 4 boxes of “stuff” that have already been emptied and will go back to the office tomorrow to be loaded up again – but I’m thinking that should be the last of it! I just haven’t yet been able to take down any of the photos of Julia and Lydia – gotta have my little girls smiling at me while I’m still at the office.
I did get another fabulous bouquet of flowers today – they are similar in color to the ones I got on Monday and several people have asked if the first bouquet cloned itself! Tomorrow I have a 7:30 meeting (for Rotary – those won’t end for a while), Rotary at noon, haircut and color after work and then Happy Hour at Touch with a group of chick friends from work – sounds like a great day to me except in between all that fun stuff I still have some work that needs to be done if the budget software gets upgraded. However – if the budget gods smile down on me, the patch won’t get applied in time for me to actually have to do the work!
