Here’s another of those fun(?) surveys where you fill in the blanks and let your friends know more about you – so here are my answers, please send me yours!
1. What was I doing ten years ago?
I had just moved into my dream house over Memorial Day weekend and was so excited with all the possibilities of fixing it up. The house was in the perfect neighborhood, just 3 blocks from Tammy and Steve, and I loved sitting in the swing on my front porch to drink coffee and read the morning paper plus it was a great ‘hood for running and walking. A neighborhood with lots of positive energy. However, more important than the perfect house was perfect hubby so after 4 years, I sold it (<48 hours, FSBO) and have lived happily ever after!
2. What are five (non-work) things on my to-do list for today:
1) Update the blog; 2) go to Rotary 5thursday at Fedora’s; 3) Buy fleece to make blankets for patients at Shrine Hospital; 4) pick up book at library; 5) buy birthday gift for Steve. All done!
3. Snacks I enjoy:
Ice cream, tortilla chips, margaritas, dark chocolate
4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
Share generously with all our family, travel extensively, buy a hybrid car, set up a charitable foundation.
5. Places I have lived:
Fulton, Missouri and Springfield, Missouri
6. Jobs I have had:
Clerk in local bookstore (high school job), clerk in Montgomery-Ward catalog store (college vacation), accounting clerk for my dad (college vacations), stay-at-home mom (my very favorite job ever), accountant, controller, budget bitch – soon to be upgraded to full-time member of Life 2.0.
7. Peeps I want to know more about:
Can’t think of anyone – not sure if that’s a good sign or a bad sign but it’s the truth!
There you have it – how’s that for a lame blog posting. 6 working days to D-Day. I started cleaning out my office today and now don’t have a clue where I will put it all when I get it home – which is causing me to re-think what I really want to keep! My assistant is cashing in – today she got my mini-Christmas tree with the lights on it and a desktop cell phone holder. I’m also holding a book sale – I’ve made $15 so far and whatever is left is going to the used book store.
