Blegging   Leave a comment

According to Freakenomics(one of my very favorite blogs), here’s the definition of “bleg”:

“What’s a bleg?

A bleg = blog + beg — i.e., using a blog to beg for information. (This is not to be confused with the Dutch beleg — which is either a sandwich filling or the declaration of martial law.)”

In the case of this blog, it’s definitely the first definition and not the Dutch beleg!  I love new words and found the Freakenomics post quite timely since last week I received a “complaint” about my blog.  Dear friend Vicki who is one of a handful of readers for my ramblings sent me an email to “complain” that I had been derelict in writing for several days.  She was absolutely correct – I just hadn’t had any inspiration so I asked her to provide some topics which she immediately did (thanks Vicki).  Little did I know at the time that I was engaging in a form of “blegging” (note how I turned the noun bleg into a verb even though I have no idea if that form even exists!).  That’s me – always on the cutting edge – yeah, right!

If anyone else among my handful of readers has suggestion for topics, feel free to send them my way.
