Tonight was another family birthday celebration – this one for Burl whose actual birthday is Tuesday. Since we were traveling today I opted for something easy – the extra pan of lasagna left from Christmas cooking paired with a loaf of crusty bread, salad and a delicious strawberry cake baked especially for her PaPa by granddaughter Tarah. Tammy and Steve came over early to visit since Steve leaves early in the morning for a meeting in Scottsdale (rough life!) plus we hadn’t seen them since before our vacation.
Next weekend we stay home for a change and I’ll admit I’m looking forward to a weekend free of an agenda. However, the next 5 days leading up to it are anything but agenda-free. I looked at my work schedule for the week and am scheduled for over 18 hours of meetings. Think I can call in sick as being allergic to meetings? Probably not!
