Our bags are packed and I just returned from my last long walk in sunny Phoenix. We enjoyed the sunny weather yesterday with both a power walk and then a long bike ride along the canal trails that took us all the way to downtown Phoenix via a series of tunnels that avoided having to cross major roads. I’ve also enjoyed getting on Mike’s bike trainer so am hoping my Valentine will take the hint with a bike trainer – especially after we stopped at Performance Bicycles yesterday and I oohed and aahed over a red one (and the book rack so I can read while cycling!).
Mike and Annie treated us to dinner last night at their favorite Italian place – we were fortunate to get call-ahead seating because they are in the heart of one of 2 Super Bowl areas with tons of parties this weekend. The celebrities are all in Scottsdale (Snoooty Snotsdale?!?) s0 Glendale where we were is for the non-celebs!
I’m sure the airport will be packed with arrivals but with luck Southwest Airlines will be on time and we’ll be back in Tulsa where we’ll get our car and be home in about 8 hours. Sure beats driving 1250 miles!
