In case you think you should envy us being in sunny, warm Phoenix I wanted to let our friends at home know that today the high here is supposed to be 52 with rain all day – while Springtown is shooting for 61 and sunny! Oh well, we’re getting plenty of sunshine from new grandson Devin who is such a delight – quite the little snuggler and so good. We took him out for an early bite to eat last evening at Bravi (which reminded us of San Francisco Oven at home) and then to Saturday evening church since Mike is at a Christian Triathlete conference this morning. Devin was quite the trooper – very quiet during church – took a bottle and snoozed!
Daughter-in-law Annie is Chinese so they refer to her nursing as Devin eating at the Chinese Buffet! We thought he was going to be an “Asian Mike” but now his eyes look more like his dad’s. Given how gorgeous both the parents are (our unbiased opinion, of course!) he will be quite the handsome young man. Plans for today include letting the guys work on some lighting fixtures while Annie and I head out to see “Atonement” which they guys nixed. I always know I can count on Annie to go see the movies I want to see plus she needs an outing without her new appendage.
Now I need to go watch the finals of Miss America which Annie Tivo’d – she’s a devoted follower since she was one of the 50 onstage in 1994.
