I remember so well that feeling when I was a kid in school when we got out for Christmas break – the release from the scholastic routine mixed with the aniticipation of Christmas morning. That feeling continued through college and then again when my kids were growing up. Yesterday that same experience resounded with me as I left work a few minutes early knowing that I can be away from the office until 2008. Granted my Type A nature may drive me back to work the end of next week for a couple of days but that’s my option and I love options!
Daughter Stacey and her hubby Len and son Alex arrived yesterday from San Diego so the B&B is in full force. The guys have already played golf today (doesn’t matter that it’s cold and rainy!) while the girls are out shopping. I’m happy staying inside where it’s toasty warm and I can try to thwart my cold with some R&R. Tonight we’re doing family movie night – we all meet at the movies and everyone sees what they want to see. Works for me – Tammy and I have already chosen our flick.
