The world greeted our new grandson, Devin Michael, at 6:00 a.m. today Phoenix time. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces, 19 inches long and mom and baby are both doing great. For us he is grandchild #8 – let’s see how long it takes our twisted, dysfunctional family to indoctrinate him!
Having lunch today with my firstborn – always a treat because we don’t get a lot of 1:1 time together. I predict we’ll be searching for it over the holidays since we are closet introverts who will need to escape the hustle and bustle of too much family and find a quiet spot to read and/or drink some wine.
Got to see friend Vickie at a meeting this morning – always a day brightener for me because she’s so full of energy. She reminds me of someone who had the talent to be a cheerleader since she has so much enthusiasm but I’m betting she was way to smart to spend her time on that endeavor in high school or college!
