The football Tigers have made it to the top – #1 in all the weekly polls thanks to last night’s win over KU.  It’s a good thing they didn’t play the whole game like they did the last quarter or the outcome would have been different but fortunately they survived more penalities than I remember ever seeing in a game and still came out on top – their first time at the peak of the polls since before I was old enough to drive or even understood the game!  Stay tuned for next Saturday’s match with OU to determine the winner of the Big 12 and more importantly, IF MU gets to play on January 7th for the BCS championship.

I’m wrapping up a wonderful 4-day weekend and wishing I could stay home for a few more days and luxuriate in being alternately lazy and doing projects around the house.  I’ve wrapped all the Christmas gifts that have been purchased, read a great book (“How Starbucks Saved My Life by Michael Gates Gill), made lasagna for Christmas day and put it in the freezer, pre-made soup bases for the holidays, cleaned out closets and done some online shopping.  My shopping tip of the day is retailmenot.com where you can find all kinds of online coupons to save $ and on shipping – I scored some great buys this evening and let my mouse do the walking.

Back to work tomorrow – somebody in this outfit has to be gainfully employed to pay the bills!!!
