No I’m not revealing personal information – that’s the name of the beer we bought today in Wisconsin. It’s made at a local brewery and we decided to get some – haven’t tried it yet tho.
We are in Prairie du chien WI after a day of perfect weather and great scenery. The weather forecast for Waussau was iffy so we headed west after a hike on the nature trail at Rib Mountain and a stop at Granite Peak Ski slope where Burl and his family used to ski 30 years ago.
We reached the mighty Mississippi and started south on the Great River Road which is a popular scenic ride along the bluffs. Crossed to Minnesota at Winona and rode on that side until LaCrosse.
It was a little after 5 but the temp was around 80 and the scenery gorgeous so we made the decision to keep going another hour or so to Prairie du Chien. Bad decision since we didn’t have a reservation. We pulled into town and were greeted with No Vacancy signs!
Finally found a local spot with 2 rooms left – one double bed, smoking, very small but hey the owners are very friendly and we probably won’t make this mistake again!
Fortunately we have a reservation for tomorrow night at a great place in Des Moines featuring 2 beautiful granddaughters and the price will be right too!
