Monday Night Football   Leave a comment

It’s a far cry from the NFL but watching the freshman football team from Nixa High School was really lots of fun – especially when we got to see grandson Corey (#72) out on the field.  They came from being down 13-0 to whip the Carthage Tigers 28-13 on a picture-perfect summer evening.  And to sweeten the fun of the evening, we scored free passes to all Nixa sporting events thanks to our senior citizen (gotta find a better phrase!) status!  Being the cheapskates that we are, we took our part of our savings and bought a tax-deductible ticket to win a red Mustang and help Project Graduation.

Great way to end Labor Day which for me really was a day of labor – having been in K.C. on Friday I needed to get back into the office and polish up a couple of PowerPoint presentations so my boss and I can review them tomorrow.  On Wednesday we start the first of 10 presentations over the next 3 weeks.  You will hear a giant sigh of relief on September 27th when the last one has been given and we’re heading out of town on our motorcycle for vacation.

Time to get out the atlas and start planning our trip…………..
