It’s adios to the month of Julia Caesar (“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in the stars…..”) and get ready for August. Months seems to have a “feel” to them for me and August feels like lazy, hazy, crazy days – the final full month of summer when I want to cram in everything I haven’t yet gotten done that I want to do but also time to start thinking about a fall trip since I only have 7 weeks of busy season left at work.
We plan to once again head out on the motorcycle and it’s fun to think about all the possibilities. After September I’m like a kid let out for summer vacation because I can plan trips and think about taking time off – we’ll have to go to Phoenix sometime around the holidays or shortly after since our grandson is due to arrive near Christmas. We plan to go to Chicago for a couple of days to see Burl’s brother and his wife. Today we got info on a Caribbean cruise in late January that a friend wants to take with her. So many places to go, so little time.
I think I’ve got good food for thought while I’m out on the bicycle or floating in the pool and since those are some of my favorite summer activities, I plan to get as much pool time and bike time in as possible while I can! Carpe Diem!
