Greetings from Phoenix – sunny and 94 and still climbing – and gas is LESS than Springfield for the first time we’ve ever seen – not that $3.05 is cheap but it’s all relative! We caught the early flight to Denver this morning along with Cindy and Isabella – got to Denver and discovered that somehow Burl was booked on a later flight so 3/4 of us are now here and Burl is somewhere in the blue skies heading our way.
It’s noon in Arizona which means it’s 2:00 p.m. at home and since we got up at 3:30 CDT it has already been a long day! No wonder I was hungry when we drove thru Chick-Fil-a at 10:15 here - my breakfast had long worn off and on these short flights there’s nary a pretzel to be found! Len has left for another airport run to get Burl and Stacey so Cindy and I are hanging out at the pool with Alex and Bella – before long I may be catching some zzzzzz’s but I’ve lathered up with SPF45 and I’m ready to tackle the sun.
Tonight is a big dinner dance for Mike’s med school class and tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. we attend his graduation and it will be official – son Mike will be Dr. Mike, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. We are proud of his hard work and glad we can be here to share in his big day.
Adios – my diet Coke and beach read are calling me to the backyard!
