I've only had a few and since I found this one early it really wasn't too bad - think I've only had one that started dining on me and had to practically be ripped off. They are more annoying than anything.

Yes, the fountain is tres cool - especially at night when all the lights are off except for the pool light. Planted some more flowers too so the place is shaping up.

Ewww! Ticks! Despite having attended summer camp for several years and done my share of camping at Roaring River and Bennett Springs, I don't recall ever having had a tick on me. For some reason, they completely gross me out. I think I would freak if I found one. Now, mosquitoes, on the other hand, just love me. I battle them all summer.

Can't wait to see the pool fountain. Sounds cool.

Yeah for you on the riding. What kind of bike do you have - mountain, hybrid or road? I know Touring Cyclist has bike groups that ride together so you might start there hook up with some other riders and go on some fun rides and then graduate to longer rides - they will probably have some good routes to share with you too. I haven't been out yet this year but hope to change that this weekend. However....we just got back from Lowe's with a truckload of pretties that need to be planted!!!
