Our motorcycle trip to Mtn. View, AR did not disappoint – the weather both days consisted of clear, blue skies with temps in the 80′s, the roads were hilly and windy and best of all, everyone in our group arrived home safely.  We stopped for lunch yesterday at Gaston’s Resort - a beautiful spot on the banks of the White River where the water was so clear you could see the bottom in places.  I was pleasantly surprised by not only a first-rate meal but also the ambiance the place afforded – may be a weekend destination in the future as it looks like there could be some good hiking nearby.

Last evening after dinner we strolled around the square in Mtn. View and listened to several groups entertaining with bluegrass music.  We especially liked the ones that featured a banjo even though they didn’t reward us with the music from “Deliverance”.  Burl mentioned on the way home today that if I would just hurry up and retire we could do lots of little getaways on the motorcycle and experience the beauty of Arkansas – guess he forgot how “young” I am!  :-)
