Watch out K.C. – Tammy, Ralph and I are heading your way with fists full of cash and credit cards and our shopping lists! Well maybe not THAT much $ but we do plan for this trip all year and sure have fun no matter what great items we buy.
Tammy has called us with the weather forecast and a run-down of her planned wardrobe for the weekend and I’m heading to the bedroom to pack now. Jeans and closed-toe Birkerstocks for tomorrow, then switching to capris and sandals as it warms up for Saturday and Sunday. Comfort is the name of the game as well as looking good.
I was really trying to be good about my eating habits heading into the weekend in case we go to Murray’s in Westport for ice cream – I opted for salad and veggies today at Rotary but tonight we attended the CoxHealth Employee Appreciation Dinner (my 22 years of service entitled us to a meal – no free gifts!). Held at the University Plaza I figured we’d have steak and I can pretty much pass on red meat. Friend Becky and I shared an extra spinach salad on our table and I was still feeling virtuous until……my fork landed on the decadent dark chocolate fudge cake and I was a goner!!! There are some temptations that just can’t be missed – and moist, rich, dark chocolate cake is one of them. Guess that’s better than meth, right?
