I don’t often go out for lunch – prefer to try to get in some type of quick workout and then eat my Weight Watcher points-friendly meal at my desk – but occasionally I break out of my mold and today was one of those days. I met my dear friends Laura and Dana at Haruno and dined on delicious sushi and endame while enjoying the scintillating company of these two delightful people.
Laura has been my boss for the last few years when I taught at Webster University and today I had to share with her that I’m going to have to forego that activity indefinitely. At that announcement, Dana exclaimed that he will now be known as the toughest teacher on campus – a title I think he relishes and deserves!
I have other obligations and if I can’t devote 100% to my teaching then I need to let them find someone else. Thankfully Laura has assured me I can return at a later date – and perhaps I’ll even get an opportunity to teach at one of their international sites. London, Geneva, Bangkok? My passport is current!
Congrats on the change. Hope it’s wonderful!
Thanks so much for the very nice comments (you were on my short list of suspects, but innocent til proven guilty and all). I’m undecided as to whether having you as a reader is good or bad; I am torn between being flattered and being mortified that people actually read the tripe I pass off as “interesting exploits.”
But you’re bookmarked now – I am a total blog consumer, reading many faithfully. Daily updates – that’s what I want now.
On second thought, I’m glad you’re reading. Now you’ll see that I am no longer the idiot I was in my youth; I am a much different, much more mature type of idiot.
I’ll be back to see what you’re up to. Life with no kids at home; I can’t even begin to imagine. It’s OK; I’m not ready yet. Cheers!
